Most of you should have received an Electric Aggregate mailing today pertaining to our Village of Kirkland Electricity Aggregation Program . This program is part of the Electric Aggregate Ordinance that was approved on May 1, 2017 and strives to ensure we pay the best price for our electric services within Kirkland. Our new provider, based on pricing, will be MC Squared Energy Services LLC (mc2). Progressive Aggregate surveys multiple Electric providers, including ComEd, to ensure residents within their program pay the lowest possible price. At this time, “mc2” offers the best pricing per kWh (kilowatt hour) compared to other providers, including ComEd.
Residents who do not want to be part of this program have the ability to opt-out if they so choose. This is completely up to each resident and doing so would maintain them on ComEd’s supply price versus the aggregate program.
