The Consolidated Elections are just over a week away, taking place on Tuesday, April 6th. Relative to the Village of Kirkland, we have no contested races for Village President or Village Trustee. The Village will have a vacancy for a 2-Year Village of Kirkland Trustee position that no one filed to run for in April’s election. The Village of Kirkland would like to have this position filled with the normal Trustee transitions at May 2021’s meeting.
In addition, we currently have one vacancy on our Planning and Zoning Commission with a potential 2nd opening occurring in the next month or two. The Planning and Zoning Commission has typically met 2-3 times a year as Zoning, Permitting or Building Code Ordinance updates are needed. Again, we would like to fill these positions via appointment during May 2021’s Board Meeting.
If anyone is interested in becoming a Village of Kirkland Trustee or Planning and Zoning Commission member, please contact Village President Ryan Block via email (R.Block@VillageofKirkland.com) or by submitting a Letter of Interest at Village Hall during normal business hours (M-F 9:00AM to 5:00PM) or in the Dropbox located outside the front door of Village Hall. We ask that anyone interested to please have their submissions in by April 16th, 2021.
