Considering Running for Local Office?
August 25, 2026, is the first day to circulate nominating petitions for candidates seeking office in the April 6, 2027 Consolidated Election.
Candidates seeking office with a City, Village, Park District, Library District, Community College District, Fire Protection District, or another local Unit of Government should contact that Unit directly.
Nominating petitions must be filed with the Unit of Government for which the candidate is seeking office (except School Board & ROE Trustees).

- November 16 – 23, 2026 – Filing Period
