As of January 1, 2026 Public Act 104-0438 is in effect with regards to amendments to the Open Meetings Act (OMA) and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). A link to this public act is provided below.

The amendments that were passed include changes to how the public may electronically request public records from the public body. Please note that electronic submissions must now be in the body of the submission and cannot be submitted as an attachment or a hyperlink.

To submit a request in person, please visit the office of the Kirkland Police Department and return to the office that will complete the request.
